IMPACT - Alcohol Advisory Services
Introduction
People use alcohol for a number of different reasons and problems
can occur as a consequence of alcohol misuse. IMPACT aims to help
people make more informed choices about their drinking. This could
mean whether to cut down or to abstain. Close family members, relatives
and friends can also be affected by someone else's drinking. IMPACT
is able to offer advice, support and counselling, which can help
with such difficulties.

- Referral to other services for residential rehabilitation and
detoxification
Accessibility
- The office in Wellington is accessible by wheelchair
- Services are offered at other locations throughout Shropshire
to improve access for more people, and particularly those in rural
areas
- Creative methods can be used to enable people who would not
otherwise access the service by the usual means to get the help
and support they need.
